Taste The Six: Top 6 Foodie Picks from the One of a Kind Spring Show

Heard the word? The Spring One of a Kind Show has had its biggest face-lift in history, introducing over 100 new vendors at the 450+ vendor Spring Show. There was so much new for us to discover. Here are our Top 6 Picks from the show:

Studio 50 – (Q03)

Studio 50 still remains one of our favourite products at the show. We proudly have the rock bottom vessel on the kitchen island of our studio. It is a showpiece and always the first thing people ask us about when they visit. Steve and Kim taking once boring objects such as a mortar and pestle, knife block, and glass and turn them into showpieces of concrete art. The perfect Easter gift for the host(ess) with the most(ess). This is as one of a kind as you get.

Tealish (A59)

The warm weather is just around the corner (right?). Tealish always has some of the most creative tea blends for every need. Their collection just got cooler with the introduction of their “iced tea” collection. If we collectively buy enough of this, Mother Nature may be nice and bring us warmer weather sooner than later.

No. 7 Hot Sauce (A44) – New Artisan

“El rey” of hot sauce has finally made it into the show. A true homegrown artisan story. Started from a family recipe, turned into a collection of the most delicious hot sauces. With 7 flavours, from mild to wild, featuring all natural and quality ingredients, you’ll have the perfect sauce for every meal. By the way, don’t forget to take a selfie in front of their media wall and tag them for a chance to win a prize.

Teeny Tiny Bakery (C22)

Cookies that may be too cute to eat. What a dilema. All hand crafted, hand painted, and made with lots of love. The best part, they taste as good as they look. Whether their Easter collection, special edition paint it yourself bunny, or collection of emojis including fan favourite…poo (true story), there is something for everyone on your gift giving list.

@thecrazyplatelady – (A07)

This is the gift for the food lover that has it all. Combining food and art has never been so tasty. Whether going for a hand painted custom made piece of your favourite food, a self portrait of you and a memorable dish, or, one of her amazing prints that run the gamut from Bill Murray (ask her about this infatuation) to waffles so real you will want to eat the plate, this is one of the most unique gifts you can pick up for the special foodie on your list. If you feel so inclined to own a 70 piece project, just check out this wild octopus (and Bill Murray) piece.

Provisions Food Company – (A52)

We have recently been seeing a lot of this Niagara based artisan at our favourite wineries. With a delicious collection of condiments, food pastes, and shortbreads, you’ll be stocking your panty and filling your belly with delicious Niagara inspired treats.

SYPH
