Meat the Beefed-Up Caesar™

Want to spice up your Caesar game? Wow your guests at your next get-together? Turn a drink into a meal? We’ve got you covered. Take a look at what happens when Canada’s most iconic and versatile protein meets Canada’s iconic drink.

INGREDIENTS (MAKES 2 DRINKS)

  • Steak Spice Rimmer: (1.5 tablespoons of kosher salt and smoked paprika, 1 tablespoon of onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, and coarse freshly ground black pepper, 1/2 tablespoon of chili powder)
  • 2–4 ounces of your favourite spirit (vodka, gin, tequila, bourbon)
  • 2 tablespoons of clam juice (found in the canned fish section of the grocery store)
  • 2 tablespoons of pickle juice
  • Juice from 1/2 lime
  • 2 teaspoons of horseradish, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce (20 shakes)
  • 1.5 cups of tomato juice
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wet the rim of a glass or mason jar with a lime wedge and twirl it in the rim salt.
  2. Fill the glass half full of ice.
  3. Add your choice of spirit, the clam juice, pickle juice, horseradish, tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and lime juice.
  4. Fill the glass with tomato juice.
  5. Go wild with your toppings!
