In late July, fledgling foodies went on a three-hour tour led by Gloria, Steven and Rebecca of Foodies On Foot, to discover food retailers in what the New York Times recently recognized as one of Toronto’s hippest communities: the Junction.

Participants learned about the history of the neighbourhood and chatted with shop owners while sipping and savouring samples at fabulous food destinations. The guided tour included tastings at half a dozen shops as well as historical points of interest. The “tourists” did well to preserve their memories, filling their shopping bags with gourmet goodies along the way.
