2014 Customer Appreciation Party
2014 came and went like a hurricane. When the time came to say thanks to our fantastic clients and supporters, we decided to mix it up. Rather than do the traditional holiday gifts, which can be so impersonal, we started a tradition…gather all of our supporters and throw an awesome party to say thanks. A tradition was born.
On March 7, we invited our top clients (those that booked private/corporate events for groups of 12 or more), media connections, and, foodie friends, to say thank you. A night to leave all hats and titles at the door, come as friends, and simply enjoy themselves over good food and drink. We could not think of a better way to express our sincerest appreciation for their business and support of Foodies on Foot.
As with any Foodies on Foot event, we need to have a theme, and need to have lots of fun. After asking everyone to RSVP, we released one clue a week leading up to the event. Think you could guess where it was held? Give it a try:
Clue #1: There may be some talk of knights, but don’t worry, we won’t be going all Medieval at this party.
Clue #2: You would think you would have to be religious, or Tony Shalhoub, to work in this kitchen, but, last I checked, Chef Damian is going to be in charge.
Clue #3: Have you ever attended a TIFF party hosted by James Franco? Shot for the cover of Maxim Magazine? Hung out with Scarlett Johannson? How about attended an invite only Fashion Week soiree? Not really? Don’t feel bad…neither have we, until now. Leave it up to us to get access to a location that has hosted some of the hottest stars and parties on the planet, just for you. On March 7, you’ll get a taste of what is feels like to party like an a-lister.
Clue #4: Remember House of Pain’s song Jump Around? What does the cream of the crop do? That’s right, it rises to the top. At 8 stories high, we are not quite at the CN Tower level, but you will have a bird’s eye view of Toronto’s hottest neighbourhoods.
Clue #5: Know this Toronto landmark (we put up a picture of the Uniform Measure/Stack…look it up)? Well, if you walk exactly 350 meters from this landmark (according to Google Maps), you will be exactly where you need to be to enjoy the party.
Upon arriving and being greeted by the concierge, they were directed to take the elevator directly up to the penthouse. Yup, we took over 2 penthouse suites and partied like it was 1999. A showcase Miele Kitchen, DJ, and the entire suites activated with tasty pop-ups. Something to be discovered around every corner. Can you say VIP y’all? Free food, lots of drinks, amazing conversations, swag bags, a night to remember.
A party is only as good as the fiends your share it with. We could not do it with our fantastic sponsors that took the time to come celebrate with us. We have huge love for you!
What do we have in store for our 2015 supporters? Just wait and see. The party takes place on April 16, 2016 (4.16…that’s right), with clues kicking off on March 21.
