We can definitively scream out “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” It should be no surprise that our quest to live our this childhood dream has led us to chocolate factories across the globe. The best news, we no longer have to look beyond Toronto. Not only did we get to judge the International Chocolate Awards in our hometown this year, we also found out that SOMA chocolatemaker is opening a new factory, retail, and educational space in Toronto. Let’s just say it’s been a year of sweet dreams come true.

While we’ll be waiting for our golden ticket to experience the new SOMA facility, for day 11 of our #FoodieDaysOfChristmas, we’re giving you an exclusive experience…a very special SOMA chocolatemaker tasting for 2. Let SOMA take you on a tour of the chocolate lands where you will taste 6 different chocolates from across the globe. Learn how they make chocolate from farm to bean to bar and taste all the beautiful flavours that are unleashed from each type of cacao through the process. In this special tasting you will taste the rare and quietly complex Porcelana bar that won best dark chocolate in the world at the International Chocolate Awards in 2015.
